About Us

The Triangle’s (North Carolina) own VGM Jam Session is hosted by Turnabout Players, composed of experienced local NC musicians with a background of various musical traditions and a passion for video game music. The goal of the Triangle VGM Jams is to provide a space where musicians of all skill levels can learn and celebrate video game music in the context of communal, musical improvisation. The jams are not limited to jazz, but open to rock, funk, and hip hop as well (akin to a cypher).

How do I Join?

Come through and hang out with us! We encourage folks to say hi and hop on stage with us, regardless if you have experience in improvisation or not. There will be signup sheets to request songs you want to play during our jam sessions, but you can also request songs beforehand here!
